QUALIFICATIONS:
Mr. Davis has been in his private practice of Landscape Architecture
in Augusta since 1969. The firm has concentrated on park, recreation
and landscape design. Mr. Davis has accomplished master planning and
the redesign for the 100 acre Lake Olmstead Park for the City of Augusta
and as well the master plan for the 375 acre South Augusta Diamond Lakes
Recreational Complex. Mr. Davis designed Patriots Park in Columbia County
and the firm has designed the Augusta State University History Walk
.
Mr. Davis has accomplished the design for such noted gardens as the
television video taping garden for the "Seeds from the Sower",
Guido Evangelistic Association in Metter, Georgia; Riverwalk Augusta;
Broad Street Revitalization; Augusta Common, North Augusta’s Georgia
Avenue landscape improvements, town square for the City of Sylvania;
the Boneyard Town Plaza for the City of Swainsboro, Georgia; the award
winning design for the Greenblatt Memorial Library as well as the President's
Home both for the Medical College of Georgia and has designed the $3,000,000
Garden Attraction for the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame in Augusta which
features a series of different display gardens, each the setting for
bronze statues of golf's great players. This garden was endorsed by
Southern Living Magazine even before its construction.
